Trustee
Andrew Overton

Andrew spent nearly 40 years as a director of the company that manufactured and sold the London's Black Taxis. This was mainly in marketing, and he also worked as a lobbyist in the trade until he retired.

He is a Past Master of the Worshipful Company of Hackney Carriage Drivers and when he became a Master in 2008, he formed an affiliation with Royal Docks Academy, as all City of London Livery Companies should have such affiliations. This led him to becoming a Governor at the school in 2012 and subsequently realising the school was failing, he then negotiated a reverse takeover of the School by BMAT, which has proved very successful.

Andrew is currently chair of Governors as both Royal Docks Academy and Burnt Mill Academy and has now accepted an invitation to join the Board of BMAT as a Trustee.
